Originally known as “kha-chot-parli” meaning (the heaven of Padmasambhava) is a lake located 147km west of Gangtok- Sikkim. It’s scared for both the buddhist and hindus, also believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. The lake is enveloped in a lush greenery and dense forest cover. The lake has a shape of a foot.

Built in 1697 is the oldest monastery also known as place of secret spells. The literal meaning of Sanga Choeling is “ island of the Guhyamantra teachings”.
