The East Sikkim
Sharing its border with Bhutan , Nepal, China’s Tibet antonomous region Sikkim is the northeastern state of India. Sikkim is gifted with numbers of lakes, having about 227 high altitudes lakes in the state. Singhshore Bridge, Asia’s second highest suspension bridge is situated in West Sikkim, there are numerous hot springs having medicinal as well as therapeutic value.
It offers breathtaking views of the iconic Mt. Khangchendzonga, the third highest summit in the world. Almost 35% of the state is covered by Kangchenjunga National Park comprising of glacier s lakes, waterfalls, forest, flora & fauna has been declared as UNESCO world Heritage Site. Best time to visit Gangtok is between September and June. The climate of Sikkim ranges from tropical to alpine
The Tranquility of Tsomgo Lake
The name Tsongmo is made of two words in Bhutia language “Tso” meaning lake & “Mgo” meaning head, which means “source of lake”. Tsongmo Lake is a glacier lake in Changu Gangtok east district. Located at an altitude of 12313 feet, the lake remaining frozen in winter is formed in an oval shape. Surrounded by steep mountains .The lake is about 40 Km from Gangtok on the Gangtok – Nathula highway.
As the lake is located in a restricted area it is essential for all the visitors to obtain permits.
Nathula Pass
A mountain pass in the Himalayas that co-joins Sikkim and China situated at an altitude of 14450 ft. above the sea level. One of the highest motorable roads in the world. Nathula pass holds great historical importance as a vital trade route on the old silk road, connecting India with Tibet and China. From the top of Nathula pass, youll be treated to panoramic views of rolling hills , lush valleys stretching as fas as eye can see.
Only citizens of India can visit the pass after obtaining permits.
Nathang Valley
Also known as gnathang valley is a hidden gem situated in the lap of eastern Himalayas. Situated at an altitude of 13000 ft. is the home to customary Yak & sheep herders. Nathang is also called ladhak of east Sikkim offering a serene escape into the heart of Himalayas with its breathtaking landscape , alpine meadows , dense forest, varieties of flora and rich cultural heritage.

Gateway to the Silk Route
Dzuluk or Zuluk is a small hamlet situated at the height of 10000 ft. on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in east Sikkim. It was once a transit point to the historic silk route from Tibet to india. Surrounded by wild forest, some of the forest are completely virgin. It’s the very first village within this whole Silk route circuit to offer home stay facilities for tourist. The Thambi view point offers a panoramic view of entire Mt. Khangchendzonga range.
